There are several brands of media type filters. Each
brand has different sizes for application requirements. I generally
do not recommend one over the other. Common features
include:
- A cabinet of about 5" to 7" in
thickness.
- A pleated media, which will filter down to about
2 microns.
- Simple removal and replacement of
media.
- Thickness of pleats allows for better air flow
and longer life between changes.
- Does not require regular washing like electronic
units.

A note about replacement filters:
- Recently I have seen customers buying filters
from discount lumber yards or hardware. I am concerned, because the
after market filters do not seeem to seal the cabinet as well.
Many of the filters sold are designed to fit several makes and
models of filters. As a result, they do not seal the cabinet as
they should.
- We offer OEM or equivelent, for nearly every
filter cabinet we have found.
